I keep pushing, but Mo keeps telling me they don't have any contact with the people at CC Club who run the buses, and there are no more licenses going to be issued, and so on and so on.  This is a really difficult nut to crack.  Cheeung Kong is hiding behind a wall of secrecy, and I can't get through it.  I even suggested we run our own additional buses, and that doesn't fly either.  Very frustrating.

I take it any additional buses would be self funding and would not be coming out of our management fees?

Does anyone have any idea about the CC Club bus schedule and ownership?

I have been told it is not part of CC but an independent contractor... Is this so?

If so how can we make it more user friendly? In other words have CC provide a Bus to central so we dont have to buy these crazy tickets and then we can use the octopus cards to pay for a bus to central...

I know the MTR wont be thrilled as they see 15,000 people in CC as follows:

15,000 x 2 x HK$18 = HK$540,000 per day in MTR income...

Heck i'd pay up to $25 for a decent bus with decent (wide) seat which some of the other estates have. (but don't tell the people at CC club - it may give them some ideas!)

The existing buses are operated under private charter not a general PSV license that's why they are so anal about passengers being CC residents not the general public. Completely over the top as usual but that's the jobs worth bureaucracy for you.

If people are so pissed about the service, start your own. Plenty of demand and you can set the timetables, type of buses and rules. Might even be profitable for some enterprising entrepreneur like Zorro who has a head for numbers and seems to know a lot about the subject.

MO has no interest as no money in it for them so you either put up with what's currently on offer or catch the MTR.

Your right, i was meaning per month, not per day... must have been on the line with my mate Muttley when I was doing the numbers... that hound likes to make me confuse in my mind...

i start work in Central about 10ish so I usually jump on the later Kowloon bus then mtr over to Central.  It works out about the same in terms of cost and time...   And the drivers seems to be better as well...

Does anyone have any sway with the CC Club bus to town?

I find their aplication process and ticket buying procedure unduly complicated...

I find that the staff do all they can to make it very difficult to get a card to use the bus and then when you want to buy tickets to use the bus you need to front up with yur membership card...

Can someone please let me kow if it would be possilbe to buy tickets without having to produce so many documents...?

You would think they would be happy to sell tikckets to whoever wanted them... the more they sell the more profit they make...

Hey guys,

Just out of curiosity, how come there aren't any CC club buses going to Shatin? Is it because there isn't a strong enough demand or the CC club people never thought about serving people that go to work in the Shatin area? It would be great if there is a bus going from here to Shatin in the morning.

Thanks.

Before they start offering new routes, I'd like to see them fix the old ones - changes I'd like to see are:

1.  More buses to Central in the evening - last one from TST is 10pm, which is good, but last one from Central is 8pm, which is too early.
2.  A later morning bus to TST and Central past the 9am mark - maybe run them both to 10am
3.  Likewise, an early morning bus to TST and Central - maybe start at 6:30am.

From what I can see from passengers I believe there would be demand for the above.

Hi,
I am new to CC and I would like to join the CC club to take the bus to central in the morning. A few questions:
1. Will there be any seats left on these busses or is it hard to get on?
2. Is the procedure still as cumbersome as described in the older posts on this forum?
3. Any other good advise to share?

Thanks

1.  Get there early for the bus you intend to take.  The Central buses fill up fast and it still puzzles me why they don't add to / extend the service.

2.  The procedure is still cumbersome and I don't see that changing.

3.  Be prepared for a squeeze.
