has anyone thought of a doggy daycare or kitty camp?

I'm in and out alot but a recurrent theme is pet issues. I currently hear a dog whom I suspect barks for about two hours after the owner leaves in the am (lonely bark) and for about 1/2 hour before the owner arrives (happy bark). The barking is actually much quieter than a couple children who screech in the hallway which is more of a disturbance issue. Anyway I'm wondering if anyone has thought of setting up a doggy daycare? They are usually pretty economical for the owner and it resolves many of the social behaviours which occur from a pack animal being kept in isolation. Monthly, weekly, day and overnight services are offered so if you decide to invite friends over dear Fido can have a night out also. I'm not sure of the square footage required but they also usually have kennels for keeping the animals apart during down time or for those who are not yet socialized. An outdoor run (w/ grass and plants) and a large indoor training/play area. The staff are animal caretakers and you can pay for basic sitting or even training. Some facilities offer bathing and visiting vet services. These centers usually offer free classes (as a way to lure you in I'm sure) on animal behaviour and proper waste disposal for the city dweller. While visiting a friend we dropped off her pooch (and food for the day), he was up and ready first thing in the morning as he knows he will leave the house when she leaves for work. The place she uses has a waiting list for the daily clients so they are planning another location. Volume day clients and training classes pays the bills which is how they keep the rates low. There is a lot of info. on the web. Kitty camp isn't as popular but a small room is available for overnight or vet visits. This could also be an intermediate solution (forced attendance for a problem resident) instead of eviction.
