went to council meeting today

I went to council meeting as an owner of SVC, CC, CS, together with CC phase I OC member. We handed over 2000 residents signatures to the chairman of Island council and also to government officer about the BLOCK 56 public housing issues. Thx for the support of CC phase I and SVC OC that worked hard to collect signature and serve our residents hard. I helped in collecting SVC signature and organising this meeting. I also thx some residents to join our activities today to protect our own rights.

SIGN & ACT!

We are collecting CC & SVC residents' signatures (hope to serve CS ASAP and don't get banned there by power) for bridge scheme 7 and block 56 hosuing issues. Please come, chat and sign when you see me around. I look forward to doing more for our Tung Chung North residents. Thanks.

I will try to work with friends in Tung Chung, including SVC OC, and CC Phase 1 OC, they are very helpful and active as well as listen to residnets' voice. I will work with them and try to stop this silly project proposed by government. They don't have suttle bus so more buses will come to TCN later and make nosie at night, they don't have clubhouses so their kids have nothing to do but online games or rushing aroung everywhere. This is also a mis use of valuable land resource that the land sale $ can be used to help both middle-class and poor families in HK or TC. I hav eno idea how government puts up such a propsoal.

In contrast, we propose to build a theme park similar to Fisher Park in Macau, where in Tung Chung, we are close to airport, hotels, NP 360, Outlet centre, Port, and future HK-Macau bridge, it will be perfect to have a park that add value to TC, our housing price, protect our view, create employment (instead of putting more people here with high transportation cost but lcak of social facility for public housing residents and lack of job opportunity), enhance HK travle industry as well as overall economy and attractiveness, etc. I hope more residents to support our idea. Thx. Smiley

I personally support either private house project, I mean real houses up to 2-3 levels, or theme park, or resort, instead of any high-rise or even public housing. I hope the new land can create job opportunity to TCers too.

understand, so we need to create jobs in the theme park, or I can should it a specialty park instead of a park with electronic riders, if there are jobs and shops inside the development, it doesn't affect elsewhere too much but add value to the whole TC. thx.

I should say it this way, I don't mean we need a theme park like ocean park, I mean something similar to the Fisher Park in Macau that creates economy benefit to HK and TC as well as add value to our property. Government wants to develop TC to have over 200k people anyway, lack of job opportunity and social facility will only make here a highmare, nothing can solve the problem instantly but a bit here and there can help. to build more buildings will increase the population heavily anyway and it affacts other area anyway, I am not saying it is the perfect solution, but compare to high rise mid rise building or public housing, I prefer this idea. thanks.

based on the government public housing plan, there are 10300 residents live in that 4 buildings, once it sets an example in block 56, then other block like 55 will also has high building with another say 10000 residents. That is residents number of the whole CC in our door front again. Sure telecommunication can help. I look forward to having great impact of technology for sure. Thank you for your advice.

Tonight 6:15-8:30pm we set up a booth near shuttle stop to collect signatures to protest scheme 7 and block 56 matters. Thx for residents' support in helping me on spot and supporting our action. After the first round action in council on 16/2 thx to SVC OC and CC PH I OC's contribution, I will pass our newly collected signatures to the chairman of council and government officier again later. Thanks all.

have to consider route setting, population size, land availability, residents' concern, etc.

also based on the government proposed long-term plan of Tung Chung North that she may make much more reclaim land in TC to fit 220000 people, compared to about only 100000 now, then a MTR station may be possible given that all concerns mentioned above have been solved.

government still claims the proposal is not confirmed. they also claim they would listen to residents' voice.

regardless to them, LC budget team may listen to voters voice to reject scheme 7. If there is any chance, I will try to do my best, cos this scheme 7 is silly and heavily affacts our living standard here in Tung Chung. Thx.

from my understanding, it is paid by the developer.

also, capital fund MR will be refunded to CC, and we will have our tender box located in CC, SVC, CS, OC holds one key, OC monitors the opening of tender box, open tender by newspaper advertising, etc.

It has been achieved on 4/2 when SVC OC and I met the general manager of property, MTRC. After chasing some $$$ back, we need to improve our purchase process to ensure no wasting of $$$ occured too.

However, our curent CC DOC must pay special attention to the tender terms to ensure no unfair disadvantage to some MTR unprefered tenderers so the open tender and better purchase process can be really functional and works. We residents must monitor both of DOC/OC and MO/MTR. DOC/OC must also speak and act on the best interest of we residents but not MTR/MO and not contractors too. Thanks all for your support.

I hope under the current DOC's monitor and a so-called open tender of CC cleaning and security contract, we can have many tenderers to choose and a fair price. However, I know MTR must play tricky tricks to limit the competition by setting up unfair or extreme pre-requirements to make the choices limited. DOC and residents, please pay special attention to MO. Thanks.

government wants to put the reclaim land equals to 6 CC land size right in front of our seaview of Tung Chung North. I am disappointed to how they disregard we residents' voice. I am planning a protest about it, anyone can join us?

Yeah.  I saw that on Now tv news too.  Shit ball of a government.
I think I will bring my skills to Shanghai to train the Chinese instead and spread my knowledge somewhere else.  Sad.
what is that reclaimed land to be used for?

custom building, so trucks line up there and make pollution the wind brings it to us at TC....................WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE GOVERNMENT.

They only consider their economic costs, never consider our living costs, including environment, health, property value, etc. We need to take action to defend our own rights, nobody speaks for us but ourselves. Please join us for real action! THX.
