Poppet, I agree that those caught peeing in public places should be fined so that they are indirectly paying for the cleaning that needs to be done.

Agreed the proposed idea is not perfect, but it's simple, straight forward, easily executed and will eventually solve the smell issue.  Registration will be a lot of work and introduces red tape for would-be tenants and owners to come live here.  Also, it makes it known that CC residents are problematic (where I don't think we are at all). 

A little bit of policing goes a long way.  Last year we by way of complaints and followup action created compliance to reduce sneaky undesirables from getting on our shuttle bus, and then we increased tower security with them standing by the doors.  If we have 2 to 3 more security guards or MO reps floating the areas around the main stairs that would increase awareness and build a habit of compliance. 

Gooner, cheers.  I agree that many owners are compliant.  There's nothing more infuriating than being looked upon or being treated as a second rate person when it is undue.  I just smile knowing that those wannabe judges have no clue.  Take it easy, mate!

Just wanted to share that sometimes a person might not want to share the lift with a pet because of an allergy but I would think they would be kind enough to share this with the pet owner.  I usually wait and let the pet go first.....I might do the same with a child (not allergic  .  The persons with the poor pet owner skills have this attitude of who are you to look at me while I let my furry friend urinate on the sidewalk.  For this type I have little mercy.  I would welcome a flyer as discussed above as I'd gladly and tactfully present them with the flyer.  Also many of them probably frequent the local pet supply stores.  We could invite them to assist.  I always make an effort to say hello to the pets I encounter.

We love our pets in CC. I went round to my mates during CNY who lives in Phase 2. I kid you not there was a dog stuck out on the balcony barking its head off until 04:00 in the morning. I swear if i could have located the apartment..............

The dog could pock its head out and fall off the balcony and just hang on a leash. 

.... and choke to death.

this is how one of my friend's dog died when he was a kid.  Ideally the leash is only long enough to get the dog to the rails and not beyond.  Also, there needs to be a reason (lure) for the dog to jump out (ie. a bird to chase or a man holding a treat).  On a higher floor, I would suspect the former more likely than the latter.  The dog would have to be preeetty gutsy too.

I have noticed a number of people are not putting a muzzle on their dogs but choose to put them in a push chair.

These push chairs take up a lot of room in the lifts and I know that my firends with children find it difficult to get their push charis in the lift when it is taken up by dog push chairs.

Can we think about designating one lift for dogs so they do not take upspace in the other lifts?


Also I know that some people have been letting their dogs run free in the area between CC and Coastal Skyline. Is it possible that these people do their dogs a favour and take them to the waste land in front of CC to run about. The dogs would prefer it, and I would prefer it as when ever I walk from CC to CS etc dogs come up to me and want me to pat them.

Apartheid lift system. Sounds very logical but I think you humans really only need one lift or at most an additional intergrated one for those who like having their crotch sniffed. Don't forget we'll need at least 4 scanners and guards to make sure the system is'nt abused as Twolegs can't be trusted.

What about White South Africans, should they be allowed in lifts or forced to use the stairs? What do you think Pret?
