Does anyone know what's going on with Bermuda park? i thought it had been handed back to government but our security and cleaners still patrol and maintain it. The security part is a joke as they stroll round it and wouldn't dream of telling anyone if they where breaking the rules so not sure what the point is.

Also who pays for cleaning/security air conditioning etc in the shopping centre below us? if it is run as a business with rents etc going to owners then why do our security guards deal with issues that arise there?

Don't know what the status is of Bermuda Park. I think MTR is the owner of the shopping center; thus 'our' security guards work for them. Providing security etc might be part of the lease terms for the shops.

Surely MTR should be providing security guards though not CC owners? same for Bermuda park if it no longer our responsability

We were told by the agent (should know better, I know) when me moved in 3 years ago, that
Bermuda Park was supposed to be part of the private CC grounds...

Agreed, hence my comment "I should know better".
However, Bermuda Park is prominently listed on all maps as being part of the estate, so there was no reason to smell a rat...

Bermuda Park is part of the "Orange Based Area" which is government land that the developers of Coastal Skyline and CC agreed to maintain as gardens for public usage as part of the deal to develop these sites as they now are

whilst the two estate managements have asked government to take back responsibility, there is likely to be a one-off land premium to pay in order to offset future costs to government in maintaining the gardens

owners will therefore have to contribute towards this premium if and when it is agreed but, in my opinion, this will not happen as CC and CS do not have justification
