Hi, Can anybody tell me the rules for using the swimming pool?  The yellow sheet I picked up titled 'Club Caribbean Recreation Facilties' states 'Each unit can bring a maximum of 3 guests for swimming each time'.  I was told today that I could not take my two nieces for a swim, as they were over 12 and not residents. Embarrassed

I think the fact could be here is you were probably trying to get them in for free and/or not resident otherwise they would have been granted access. If this was not the case you would have a concrete case of complaint.

Just pay the small toll and you will be allowed entry and the neices will love you for being such a great family member. If all else fails the sea is just across the road.

Cheers,

Vince

Speaking of which, when are they finally opening the big outside pool?
This is now the 3d year running that our pool opens after all the other estates.
Our neighbours in CS are already enjoying theirs...

Quite happy to pay a fee to swim, and expected to.  This option was not offered - just told non-residents over 12 not allowed to swim.  Had a day at Cheung Sha instead, so did swim in the sea!

That can't be right--does that mean all guests have to be under 12 years old?

This is bleedin redicilous...

The Clubhouse lost HK$12m last year. If someone wants 2 use it and pay for it great.

If u have a problem try and email those on the owners committee...

this farce with the security contract is sickening... they should have said reduce staff by 50% and then we would have got somewhere, but no, they sent out a tender on current staff levels... cant believe the owners committee comprises bankers, members of the law society and retired civil servents...

Many many people moan about the club house facilities and nothing is done, well of course nothing is done, the MTR do not get an override on the club house but they do on security and cleaning contracts... that is why they are so intersted in them and pay less than lip service to the club house.

My advice is wait until we can form an owners commitee and at that point kick out the MTR, till then it is just a waste of time... Huh

So who manages the Club House then?
Is it subject to open tender?

In all humility, I wouldn't mind a shot at managing that place. It has huge potential under proper commercial management...

Fust, good on you.  Wink

But seriously, it's no-brainer stuff:

- If the golf simulator was working properly, more people would book it.
- If the little bistro was open and serving halfway decent food and drinks, it could contribute substantial profits towards the running of the club
- The swimming pool could have been generating income already, they're still painting it today ffs, and it's end of April almost.
- More BBQ pits next to the pool, with catering options

I could go on, but it frustrates the hell out of me...

A lot of other estates have already opened their outdoor pools. Ours will be as usual in end-may.  Angry

Go On! Go on!

The sweat box gym with broken machines and a dirty carpet with more stains than a hookers blanket.
The ghost town known as the Kiddies ski slope and go kart track
The broken vending machines that are there just to tease you.
Opening hours built around staff convenience not the punters
More futile rules and regulations than a North Korean immigration visa.
and....there's not even bloody soap in the showers!

The MO 10% surcharge really pisses me. Not because of the amount but it's like being forced to pay a service charge in restaurant where the staff abuse you and you get food poisoning.

Now the ice rink floor tiles are sorted, the clubhouse should be the next campaign.
