Lots of ambulances and fire engines around Phase 1.

It seems something horrible has happened; better not to guess.  Does anyone know anything?

just wondering....is there ever a company that comes and cleans all of the windows on the outside?  Not every month (i see the cost issue)...but maybe once every 6 months....?

Good idea, Matador, we should try to find professionals rather than taking avoidable risks.

Yes, I am sure most would be happy to pay a nominal fee for window cleaning...I know I would not even consider dangling out to clean mine, so they remain dirty...Must be professionals...I think management office should investigate this for us...We pay them enough to figure this out...
I also heard of a death in Tower 3 this morning...Tragic, to say the least...

This is appalling (but sadly a common accident in HK & Spore). Management must insist to those that employ helpers that cleaning windows (other than the balcony) is forbidden. The risk is simply too high.

Turns out it's not a windown cleaning accident, but a suicide.

Very sad that someone is so unhappy that they see no other way other than to kill themselves, equally sad if she did fall

Sadly, suicide is all too common a problem in HK; as I know personally.  It is devastating, obviously, but often never the real answer -- it is hard to judge someone who does it or be harsh on them - it is already too sad.

We can only try to support friends and family and not push/stress/demand too much.
