Hi - we've been looking at flats to buy and have found one in Block 6 that seems OK. It's already got a tenant so I can't see the flat, but I note it is smaller gross size compared to that of Block 15. Is anyone in Block 6 that can comment? Any good points / bad points compared to other blocks that they can think of?

I looked at some units in T6; depending on the unit it can be a good tower because on one side there is no immediate neighbouring tower and so you may feel it is better.

Which flat is it?
We have an F-flat there. It is rented out, and is a very liveable unit. I dont see any problem with units in Tower 6

If you get a T6 unit facing where the buses turn it can be really noisy.
Cheers,

Regarding noise caused by traffic, Block 6 is better than Block 15. Vehicles tends to accelerate going up to that bridge between T15 & CS. Ofcourse, T6 & T15 lower floors will be noisy....20th floor and higher should okay and better.
T6 is further away form T5, T15 is a bit closer to CS.....so, T6 is better.
T6, if you get a corner Flat (e.g. Flat B or C), you get a sea view, highway view and mountain view. (Highway view is magnificent at night, Mountain view is Beautiful, However, i don't know how high would be the future development in front of CC. but i think, if they will be higher than 20 floors, it will be very noisy as it will be closer to the Airport Run way....specially if planes take off towards North East. I think it will give plus to CC as they can serve as noise barrier.)
Anyway, i hope this helps.

We are in 16 and don't have a problem with noise, the units are newer and in better condition and it's closer to walk to TC

Managed to get a look at a flat in Tower 7 which I was told was identical to those in Tower 6. Must say I prefer the design of the fittings in T15 / T16, especially the bathrooms / Kitchen.... but I was pleasantly surprised. The view was quite nice looking more westwards and there seemed more storage space in the kitchen.
Still looking though.

T16 is a closer to TC because the walk from where you are to the Shuttle Bus Near T6 is probably equidistant, + a few hundred yards Still here huh ? That's one long month

If you go for a wander on the waste land in front of CC you will see that they are begining the devlopment of the tower blocks that are going in front of Phase 1 so if you want to buy better uy a Mt facing view as your view will not be built out and if you have a pair of binoculars you can spend countless hours looking out over the Lantau Mts keeping an eye out for all sorts of livestock and birds...

It's said the elusive Muttley-dog roams those hills, but I have yet to spot one. Perhaps applying beer will help.
