These tiny roaches are annoying too much. I want to get rid out. Can you recommend the service providers?
Many thanks, members.

Funny as I think I've only seen one or two cockroaches in my flat since coming to Tung Chung over a year ago.... used to live in Wanchai and had hardly any there too.... Central on the other hand.....Staunton Street...... place was rife. Roaches and ...... rats. Very unpleasant!

Which towers, floors and flats are these?
I have never seen any except some horned insects that come up the drain when I forget to fill water into the drain next to the toilet.

Dunno what it is about this summer but I've seen more roaches (big and small) around the flat this summer than ever before.

Hi, We have been having te roach problems this summer too. Small ones. We put undiluted bleach (be careful) in the bathroom and kitchen sinks. And use spray in kitchen sometimes. This has helped a lot. Another thing keep the kitchen dry and clean as wet dishes and food crumbs attract them. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Seal around pipes, put screen on floor drains, get rid of anything attracting them (crumbs, places to nest, water). Boric Acid (borax) is a good DIY but look up the recipe and take care. I don't even know if you can get it here. If you spray but they are coming in from other places you've just started the battle.
I think the common areas were just treated, maybe management has the name of companies they use.

Sorry, I forgot to mention trash. Make sure you don't leave any foodstuffs in the trash. Wash your recycling and put organics in a bin in the ref or freezer or in the common bin. If you go to work they'll be patrolling for food. When you go to sleep they are patrolling for food. Nasty buggers.

recently I also found few small one in my house. I though maybe few weeks ago I forgot to close the window in my kitchen then they have chance to get into my house. However, I also saw few same size outside the lobby. So, don't know where they are coming from. But I never saw cockroach in here for long. I've spraied the house few nights now(mainly in kitchen, cos I found few over there)...but still keep coming back...

We're in CS and have also found them very bad this year. We have roach traps that we change every three months, sprays and an extremely high-powered sonic repeller and it doesn't seem to make much difference this year!
I'd also be interested in hearing about any effective pest control companies. The only good side is that they are small and apparently very dumb, as they are MUCH easier to kill by direct hits than roaches in Australia!

I have no idea if this is normal or not but they don't seem to run right at all... not like regular roaches. They start and stop too often and although they are very quick, move with a kind of jerkyness that makes them not seem like roaches at all.

Borax(boric acid) works. It slowly causes dehydration. When the bugs walk through it, it sticks to their bodies. Then when they return to their nest they eat it off each other to clean each other. Then it turns into gas in their stomach. They can't pass gas like mammals can, so the gas builds up and "pop!"
It's available from the pharmacy downstairs. In chinese it's called ??. It looks like salt, odorless and is not toxic to pets or kids (still, be careful and only put them in hidden corners). HK$5 would be enough for the whole house.
Simply sprinkle behind the fridge and washing machine, under the kitchen cupboard.... wherever you imagine the crawling creatures may pass by.
Good luck!
