Hi all our CC friends,

I found that there is rubbish smell nearly everyday in the early morning, especially in lobbies and PL2 floor. I think it may due to the vent system, the rubbish-collection trucks or the cleaning of our main rubbish room in the carpark. I have inspected the area and seeking solution for this issue now. I hope my work can help the estate as usual. Thx.

Warm Regards,
Jeff Lam Yuet

it's that yellow pipe above your head, Jeff, I'm sure.

did you ask the guard to make that picture? Or is it just part of your youtube message from the deep catacombs of Caribbean Coast  Wink

Hi

This problem clearly still exists with this atrocious smell greeting us each morning as we exit Tower 9.  Is anything being done about it?

Thanks

This is a time consuming matters as it relates to the building design which is nearly impossible to change unless costs millions and apply plan change to the government. However, I am working with environmental experts to see if there is something to purify the air, clean the vent, or even change the time it operates to avoid the peak hours of each day. Tis is one of the important issues l am working on it. Thanks.

Why not arrange for management to plant more flowers around the estate.  Don't those Chinese Lilies have a strong smell.

That can be good idea of planting flowers.

This morning the smell outside tower 9 was pathetic. MO should immediately do something to prevent such odour. I hope it should not lead to any disease...

walking down this morning about 7.45 the smell was very bad, but then what came through the gates? Indeed : the garbage truck.
There's no need to throw away millions to change the building design, just get the garbage truck in more often.

When the rubbish is collected at 8pm every night, is it stored in the containers until 8am?

WHILE WALKING BETWEEN TOWER 9 & 8 YOU CAN HEAR EXHAUST FAN NOISES.

ARE THESE EXHAUST FANS BRINGING OUT GARBAGE POLLUTED AIR?

ANY PROVISIONS OF ROUTING THESE EXHAUST VENTS TO OTHER LOCATION?

To be fair Amiee, here your use of capitals does feel like you are shouting.

Hey Gary. When you encounter the early morning smell around this place, it feels like to shout at somebody who is responsible for it. I want to take this issue to MO to discuss how we can prevent. I have a friend on lower floors in T-8 who also complains about it every morning. You can't even stand in the balcony as at times the air is worse.. I beleive Jeff is working to resolve the issue, let see how much time it takes to get alternate option..

Ahh, Amiee, that is a very fair comment.  I can sense the problem from your description...  Shouting at the MO would be rewarding, but alas not at your friends in the Forum.

This problem is surely solvable.
