I went there with my wife to have dinner. We were so upset about it, thats why, i'm writing this topic:
-1st thing: We as a waiter there for a table for 2, he didn't reply us, and just walk away, untill we ask again a girl working there.
-They served us Coca cola mixed with water.
-The waiter missed our order, we keep waiting for the steak, until we ordered it again.
-We order it medium well, they gave us medium rare.
-The food taste so salty.
-The bread was some frozen stuff, that you just heat before serving!
-Service + food quality don't deserve those prices.

We will never go back there  Angry

It really is such a shame that place can't get it together.  They have a great setting and could be a real asset to TC.  Considering what little competition they have for western food and an outside beer garden you'd think they could get the staff to really make the most of it.

Saying that, I happily still go there for a couple of pints.  I've yet to see them get that wrong, but I hear so many horror stories about going for meals.

I've had bad experiences the last two visits - so bad that they will be my last two visits. Absolutely terrible service (even for a place notorious for lousy service) and bad attitude from the manager when legitimate complaints were made. It looks like they had 100% turnover of staff and management in the past few months and the place has done a nose dive. Life is too short and $$$ too dear to waste in places like that.

Broke down and thought I'd give Zentro another chance.

Things have gone from bad to worse. One highlight - witnessing the 'chef' sneeze loudly into his hand, wipe his nose, and carry on with his duties without pausing to wash his hands. Classy.

One can only hope that when it goes out of business - and that won't be much longer, judging by the very few patrons on a Saturday evening - it is replaced by a better place. As for the staff and management, good riddance.

Judging by the popularity of chain restaurants that we're getting served up, I'm all for Zentro to stay there otherwise I imagine we'd loose a half decent place for a pint and gain another real estate agent or convenience store..... would rather a new restaurant took one of the many (many!) empty premises in that complex than close down one of the few that we have.

[this reply comes with a caveat that I rarely eat at Zentro so am speaking in terms of a place to grab a sundowner (or two)]

I agree with you (again!) on the need to keep the few drinks venues we have - and preferably increase their number.  I will avoid Zentro though, even for drinks. After the experiences I've had there, I don't feel right giving them my money.

It would be great if the momentum continued at that SC plaza - dare we hope for a proper pub there???

They could sell draft beer like the korean shop did in CC bazaar (before they were shoved out for a property agent). In fact, I don't know why Circle K doesn't do this. They would make a fortune.

they'll need to add one more staff, and the keg needs to finish within a day or two. Cans much easier, less trouble.

We were drinking in there about 3 weeks ago. My friend's wife and my wife were not impressed with the attitude of the manager and one female member of staff. A snarky racist attitude don't go down to well. We left and had crossed the road when a police van, lights flashing, pulled up--being nosey types we waited and were somewhat surprised when the police came over to us. The manager had called the police and accused us of smashing glasses. What actually happened was that my friend's wife had accidently dropped her wine glass about an hour previously and prior to the 'attitude' problem. Explained to top copper who laughed and said he was going over to have "a word" with the manager and wished us goodnight.

Lost four customers that night. New manager is a class one p*ick. Looks like Starz is the only show in town—nice crew, reasonable price and good service.

In what way was the racist attitude revealed? Can you tell us what happened?

Details, please? If you can.

for once I'd left reasonably early, so I missed the action, but it seems around 10pm Tung Chung's finest were called in (by whoever thinks he/she is running the place) and they gave a warning (there's a term, but I forgot) to a girl.
Let's say it wasn't her first time there, and in the past it might have gotten a bit exciting, but on the night there was nothing out of the ordinary.

I left early because I was not enjoying it, and that was mainly because most of us were going to the bar to get beers, paying cash; while the staff kept hanging around the group to collect empty glasses as soon as possible. That's as good as an expensive 7/11, so no point paying 40$ for a san mig.
Seeing we were more or less the only peeps in there on a Saturday night and they still managed to get us out of the door by 10, I will only go back there if anything else is burning.
