Heard a rumour that a Pizza restaurant is going to open next to Zentros.  I hope they don't take lessons from their neighbour in terms of service.  Would be good if they have an outdoor seating as well..... anyone know if that can happen?

I hope the rumor is true and 1) it will be a Paisano's and 2) they will serve beer and drive zentro out of business.

Never been to Resto but the reviews on openrice.com are pretty positive, so let's keep our fingers crossed...

Hope it's also a BAR/restaurant--and opens later than 11pm. My last visit to Zentro's showed that everything appeared to have fallen apart--hope it doesn't "do an Aviator".

Is open for business. Piasano's has opened in DB and has no intention of opening in Tung Chung. I spoke to the owner yesterday.

I am sure Resto will have their own teething problems, so let's see. They do well in Gold Coast. Looking at their on-line menu, they aren't cheap, so they are going to have to be very very good.

I had lunch at the new place on Tues. Bottom line is that it's not great value for money, even by HK standards, but I thought it worth another try.

My companion and I had garlic bread and spring rolls for starters. Garlic bread was ok, spring rolls were not.

Mains: I had a margarita pizza with 'thick' crust, companion had linguine vongole. Pizza was disappointing, but typical of HK - frozen crust, mediocre cheese and sauce. Reminded me of but was slightly better than Ebenezer's pizza (that's not much of a compliment). I consider it very overpriced for what it is. Linguine was good, but portion was quite small for the price.

Service was good, but then it should have been - only two other tables were occupied while we were there.

The menu is very large and broad. Restaurants that try to have something for everyone often end up pleasing no one completely. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case here. But we'll be back: I want to try the thin crust pizza (maybe they do that better) and some of the other pasta dishes were tempting.

I had take-away dinner from Resto's last night, and I must say that it is honestly the best thin crust pizza I have bought in Hong Kong. They had a great speacial last night - Pizza, Rack of Ribs with potato wedges and a large salad for $220. The ribs reminded me of the old style Jasper's racks. Very very nice. The pizza was crisp and the flavor was excellent. I will be going back again soon.
