I note the Phase 4 committe election is once again upon us.

Does anyone know how many we need to have a quorum? I have 2 votes. Can we keep a running total so we know how many we have and or need to muster up so the committee is elected? Grin

sure, i have 2 flats so 2 votes. any chance we can rally the troops so we know we have te votes prior to the meeting and in the off   chance that an owner is not able to attend we can ask them to make one of us their proxy so we get the votes. If someone wants to go out and nock on doors i will give assistance. How about Dr. Bubb? Are you up for it?

cheers,

Z

When is the election?  I have some email addresses

And yes, we should appear in the lobby to encourage people to attend, and give proxies

As long as the current Management is still in office, we are really wasting our time.

I wouldnt say we are wasting our time.

The other phase are making progress, and the main thing now is to have a committee for the whole of Caribbean Coast.  When that is formed we will have more say.

5 September Phase 4 Election - we need enough votes !
======================

I spoke with Harrison from the Management office this morning, to get some more information on the forthcoming elections

There are 824 (?) flats in Towers 15 and 16, and so a minimum of 82 (?) votes are required for a Quorum.  Last time, we had about 60 (?) votes, so there wasnt enough to vote in a committee.

Nominations for the Committee are now closed.  Within a few days, the information provided by the candidates will be processed, and there will soon be a mailing to all the residents of phase 4, giving the candidates' names and backgrounds.  Included in that mailing will be a Proxy form, so that those unable to attend the meeting will be able to give their proxies to someone else, and have their votes counted.

A committee for Phase 4 is important.  All the other phases, have committees already, and once their are committees for all four phases, they the committees can agree to a larger Owners group, for the whole Caribbean Coast project.  The Owners group will be able to have a stronger voice in communicating with the committee

If you are merely a resident in phase 4, please do you best to get the Proxy form to the actual owner.  Perhaps you can ask him or her to appoint you to attend on his behalf.  We need as many votes as possible.

 == ==

A few of us have volunteered to stand in the lobby during the last few days before the election.  We will be urging owners to attend the meeting, and for those that cannot, we will be asking them to sign Proxies, so their votes can be counted.

Anyone who is willing to volunteer to help in this effort, please send me an email.

For those who attended the last Phase 4 Owners meeting, and left an email,
I have now sent an email, about volunteering to hand out Proxies

If you want to have a copy, and you are a Phase 4 owner, please PM to me,
giving your Block, Floor, and Flat... and I will send you a copy too.

From what I understand u have to give your proxy to someone who is going to the meeting, you cant give an early vote in favour. The person you nominate as your proxy has to attend the meeting. I am happy to act as proxy 4 those who csn not go. If you like u cqan send me a private email and I will give u my details.

The PROXY FORMS have been delivered.

And I have 25 in my possession, and will begin to hand them out in the lobby.
(perhaps as early as tonight for a few minutes)

I want to do this in a more organised way, with some help from English and Cantonese speakers.

Is anyone willing to pitch in with this effort, for a few nights starting tomorrow??

Please send my your email address by PM.

I am especially keen to have help from:

Mr. Chu Wai Shing, "Wilson"
and
Ms. Fong Lai Ngai

who are both running for office in phase 4.
(BTW, the third person is me, Michael Hampton)

I think it will be a good opportunity for them to meet their neighbors.
If you knwo either of them, can you pass on this message.

It's kinda hard to vote for someone when two out of three nominees have written there info in Cantonese only. How can i find out what people stand for and what they hope to achieve? will that be explained on vote night?
