I think I saw a man walking a Great Dane and an Irish Wolf Hound. Is there a max size of animal we are able to have in CC? Or perhpas I was just seeing things as I was coming back from a long one at the Aviator  Grin

i do know there are a few people bringing pets from other parts of hong kong to this area for walks on a daily basis. besides does the size of the dog matter? If there is do we have a max size for people too?

Then how do you explain the fact that you will get 10 years prison terms and $200k fine max if you mistreat a dog, while the truck driver who squeezed a bus off the bridge and killed 23 people got only 6 months terms with suspension? Obviously dog is alot more important than human at least from a legal point of view.

if you are not comfortable getting into a lift with a dog don't that is easy. I've had to wait upwards of 10 min. just so i could get a lift to take my dogs out. if it is a good owener they will ask. what you are saying poppet is that you would rather kick the dog owner out of the lift just so you can use it? i've heard stories of pet owners waiting to take the dog home they've hit the button. yet people from the bus rush in then say we are scared of dogs wait for the next lift. the pet owner had already waited sense the last bus. it is simple respect the people in the lift weather it is a pet owner with the pet or a person. If the lift is full of people do you kick someone out so you can get in?

for Mango

it's three years imprisonment MAXIMUM not ten (section 3, chapter 169, laws of hong kong)

you can't compare the maximum sentence for one offence with the actual sentence awarded for another and call it a comparison

for Poppet

suggest you move out of CC, the sooner the better as far as I am concerned

Hunter,

Dogs or not dogs, does anyone really hold the lift door open ?
It's like the MTR where people are asked to let people disembark first - does that ever happen ? No Sir ..

So let's leave the dogs out of this one and work on manners and / or culture

I was not slinging mud, I made the statement following someone saying something which was removed subsequently, and which made my statement fitting. Do not quote out of context. I generally conform to the norm but will not hesitate to fight back against abuse.
