Where is Lucan?

Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a small motorcycle to get about Lantau and was told that if I do, I would be restricted to where I can go on the island. The reason for this being the narrow road (which is being widened) that runs from Tung Chung to the other side of the island. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks,

Massey. Huh

Until a few years back Lantau was a restricted driving zone. Today much of it still is. To get a special pass you need to apply to the govt. If you rent or own a house or apartment over at Tai O, Mui O etc you should be fine. If you rent in TC, much harder.

Cheers,

I would hope that this would change when the road is wide enough. It looks like a major project but hopefully the completion will not be too long away..................

Thanks,

Same for me. I was hoping the larger Tung Chung road crossing Lantau  would not be restricted.
If you have infos regarding this please let us know.
