Question: Are you in favor of Saving the TREES?
Yes, and I am willing to volunteer
Yes.  But only if others volunteer
Yes.  But it is management's job to sort this out
The owners should pay for cost, and not complain
The developers or insurance should pay
I dont care, I'm just a tenant
I never liked so many trees anyway

It sounded high to me too.

What size tree are you talking about BTW?

==

I am totally amazed that 40% voting here think:  THE DEVELOPER or Insurance should pay !

Just how do you expect that to happen?
The developer is OUT, he has sold the property, we are the owners now and have no claim.
Also, for insurance: unless I am wrong, the storm was an ACT OF GOD, we cannot expect to
claim on insurance.

I amy have been wrong to have picked up such I high estimate if tree costs (and would be happy
to be shown to be far too high), but we really need to get realistic, people, and understand what
responsibilities we need to shoulder on our own.

There is not always someone out there to blame, or claim against!

People are trusting you to post facts.  You said $300K and were questioned by members on numerous occasions without admitting that

Conveniently you admit it when you might be found out to have EXAGGERATED.

whoever initiated the poll had included this as an option.  If it's on the ballot, it's fair game.... why would anyone vote for John McCain? said the man with the same name.

Yeah, unless you have verified that insurance is definitely out of the question, you might be wrong.  Roll Eyes

I guess we are all unrealistic loonies who don't understand?  As for the responsibilities-> Go for it!!  Knock yourself out!!

Too right Dr Bubb!

We either pay for someone to do it or do it ourselves. I prefer the second option as that doesn't attract the Management overide fee.

I am willing to help. Just tell me how and where.

The management should take care of it and the owners committees can monitor the results.  This is what MO are paid to do and there is no refund either way.  The money on the owner/tenant end has been spent.  Simple Internal Audit policy should keep spending in check.

In regards to working on the trees:  have you actually looked at how many trees there are out there?  Perhaps you haven't done hard labour before? - Anyway, go for it!!! Have fun! You can pretend you are training to be ROCKY BALBOA.

Zorro,
I am trying to sort a rota out. What's your days off from Midland Reality? Grin

Just a local flavor to it. in Cantonese Centrline Realty is pronounced "Chung Yuen" and Midland Realty is pronounced "Mey Luen". Chung is sometimes the abbreviation for China, and Mey is sometimes the abbreviation for America.  The competition in the business sometimes became so acute that agents from both outfits got into physical fight, then the local print media declared "War between China and America erupted" Grin Grin
