Has anybody seen the plans for the public dog park next to CC? I assume as there is limited dog facilities in HK it will attract people from far and wide. As dogs cannot legitimately travel on public transport, will there be public car parking provided or will people have to park on the pavement?

Zorro, if the MO doesn't agree ....your agency that has a tie up with low rider bus services would do well. Which agency is it that you work for anyway ..... Midland, Centaline or Ricacorp ?

shhhhhhhh! Keep quiet, and keep the park to yourself. I do not like the park full of dogs from all over Hong Kong shitting and peeing all around. Last time there was a pet show in Asia Expo, the place had warm and steaming dog shit all over. Thats what happens when there are so many dogs.

With all the country parks around HK i doubt people would travel all the way to TC paying road tolls etc just to come to some little dog park.
Don't count on it. Some people consider their pets like children and treat them accordingly. There's also this unique HK pet owner meet, greet and socialise thing which for outsiders is as strange as people who go to Star Trek Conventions. The government didn't build it just for CC you know? Did you read the SCMP article a few months back?

Dog park is a good idea except who will be cleaning and managing it? Parks are good when people know how to use with respect. The way things are going with the walkway, I am a bit concerned about the future stench to be. Don't count on it. Some people consider their pets like children and treat them accordingly. There's also this unique HK pet owner meet, greet and socialise thing which for outsiders is as strange as people who go to Star Trek Conventions. The government didn't build it just for CC you know? BTW.. not everyone that enjoys star trek will be a star trek nerd.... but Icarus, you make a very good point... i don't want the conventioneers here either.

LCSD have previously banned dogs from their parks, but times are a changin'
pressure from District Council in Wanchai created the first dog park (that I know of) on the waterfront between HKCEC and HKYC (the old cargo handling area)
I jog through there at lunchtimes, a very pleasant environment, maybe Mango should go check it out, happy to accompany him so that I can confirm that any review he does can be moderated towards something vaguely true

Seems a lot of site huts, rebar and other facilities for building just a dog park. Is this compound next to blocks 7 & 8 for some larger project?
