Dear friends,

I have joined the CS OC election that takes place on 11/10. There are 8 candidates and only 5 positions available. I would like to contribute more to our community by joining CS OC with my experience in SVC OC and social services. If you are also a CS owner, I would love to seek your help by coming over to the election on 11/10 or have a proxy signed and pass to me. Please contact me for proxy or any enquiry. Or please let your CS friends know about this event if you are not an owner there. I hereby thx you so much for your great help.

I look forward to working for our lovable community!

Warm regards,
Jeff Lam

for those dunno me, I would like to provide further information about what I have done below:

follow up plant program along Man Tung Road that caused environmental and security problems.

brought over 200 Tung Chung residents and their kids from poor families to Disney during last Xmas.

Invited SPCA to Tung Chung to provide non-profit vet service to CC pet owners.

Helped local young people who look for jobs to get local jobs.

Run Anti-Inflation program to pass savings to all 4 major estates in Tung Chung.

Act as Vice Chairman of Seaview Crescent, had 4 meetings in 3 months, 5th one on 6/10.

Following MTRC's problems in terms if financial (discovered over million $ value of owners' rights not protected), tendering, purchasing, staff, general management, security, clubhouse, etc.

Contributed to the Moon Festival event in SVC and involve in lifestyle and entertainment events.

I also pay attention to Tung Chung transportation, social service matters, etc.

I found CS also have many problems that are burning, but lack of people really speak out so I joined the election. I hope I can get your support there too. THX ALL OF YOU!!!  Smiley

So,
What are the problems you think CS has now suffering?
Do you have any plan to throw out Priscillia?(I mean to stand for election in future)
What are the election promises?
Are you a registered Social worker? Whom did you vote for in recent LegCo election?
Do you think the forum like this should be a good media to reach as many owner as you can??

hi, sorry I couldn't reply you immediately last time since I was on the rush to airport and I am backed to HK now.

I am not a social worker but I try to work more for our society. I believe that politics should have nothing to do in estate daily management. About LegCo, I support anyone who sincerely look after middle class, their policies, visions to develop HK instead of "buying" votes by "giving" away HK's future in short=signed vision, regardless to their party, good policy rules.

I stand for fair and open tender process
I stand for chasing all unpaid fee from the developer if they havn't paid management fee before
I stand for better management of contractors like security, cleaning, clubhouse, etc.
I stand for much more that I will display them at www.tungchungtown.com/english later.

Forum may be one of the channels, and I am very happy to chat with residents here to share Tung Chung matters. Thanks.

Warm regards,
Jeff

I stand for middle-class, cos they pay most tax but gain little from government. They don't desire much but a fair society with more voice that speak for them. I agree those who have ability should contribute more to the society, but not in a way that policies force them to do so and too much politicians nowadays fight for other groups in the society by giving away benefit from government (tax payers) to general voters.

of cos, poor people must be looked after in our society.

unfair arrangement:

1. MO is organising staff to collect proxy at PL2, I doubt if the information will be passed to certain candidate for proxy allocation to ensure a "group" of candidate to re-enter the OC.

2. A "report" has been inserted into all mailbox of CS currently under the name of current OC to promote the 3 current candidate indirectly, which I believe it is unfair to other candidates.

3. I know the the developer of CS always keep a large number of units in CS for long-term investment purpose, we should also must concern about who the developer voted/will vote is/ARE, who will them stand for if there are conflict between the "big" owner and the small owners like all of us.

I feel that there are too much that needs to be improved in CS. I do need everyone's help here now urgently to fight for fairness, as I really don't have such support from MO and developer in the coming CS OC election on 11/10. Please kindly tell your friends in CS about my vision and kindly provide support on 11/10 or give proxy to me directly instead of giving to MO. Thanks!

I think I am tired of your assumptions wihout any proof.

1. If you have sufficient evidence to prove what you said here, you should better lodge an official complaint to the MO or even the relvant government departments.
2. You should be aware that the content of that report is merely a summary of work done over the past year which is written by the whole team rather than the 3 candidates. If this kind of report can attract votes, then probably you may think the residents are blind and just rely on a piece of paper to vote for the best candidate.
3. This happens to every estates.  Can you forced the developers to sell all their flats they own? Please be more realistic

1. MO closed for holiday today and they start doing it today. I will deal with MO tomorrow for this issue.

2. The report is fine, but the timing is very bad during the election period to have such a report delievered into every single mailbox in CS to include 3 candidates name.

3. Yes, problems everywhere in Tung Chung, and that's why we residents must be really realistic to take right action now to fight for "fairness, change, and improvement" by choosing the right OC to represent them.

Thank you for your reply and nobody should argue to make a friendly forum changed, we should have changes for improvement. Thanks again.

Jefflam,
You seem a nice enough guy but this is the CC forum. I can't vote nor can the rest of CC owners unless they own property at CS. If you want to have a "bun fight" with other candidates perhaps the best place is the CS forum where somebody might be interested. Wink

Personally I couldn't give a toss about CS after I read the "CC lowlife turning the public walkway into a market" comment by THURS on the TC Forum.

Makes my walk to Citygate every morning just that little more pleasurable knowing I am pissing some parochial little prat off Grin

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for all you've done.  I actually thought you were a politician of some sort or belonged to a party when you were making all the pushes just before election time.  Also, you have a detailed log of your contributions, which I would really be interested to know who you are and why you do what you do.  I'm not originally from HK, but from what I know about HK, kindness and courtesy is very rare.  Personally, I try to contribute more than my share of kindness and courtesy to encourage more of this, but you are going far above and beyond.  Are you some kind of hero?  If you are, keep up the good work.

About your request, I live in CC so I can't contribute.  I can imagine that all TC can be united to promote overall immprovement, so best of luck.

Hi AgentK,

long time no see, how are you? I would like to be honest to all residents here, I have a party membership in Liberal, cos I consider their policy for middle class and long-term HK vision is quite good. They don't give free lunch for vote so they loss badly currently. but of cos, thaty's not th only reason, they lack of local community service, lack of fundation also contributed to their big loss. So far I work for our community all on my own with no financial and human support. I am not happy with their "heavy head light foot" style.

Given that I have a party member, I however never put politics into estate management. As the vice charman of SVC OC, I was the first one to ask politic-free estate environment, we banned ALL party or poitician's personal promotion in the estate but open access to government notice.

I think if someone works hard for our community, people will support him regardless to his party. I can also openly say that I work for community is not for party. I grow up in HK from a poor family that used to live in wood house, then government short-term residence for years, lucky enough we waited and got a government housing later, and I study hard to get my master degree in Australia as well as working hard to save some $ to buy my own home. I feel government is not doing right in helping middle class, I also feel lucky and thx god to have my life improved over the last decades, so I decide to work more for our community to return to our society.

I join OC cos I see too many problems in our estate management, politicians also doing their best to affect our life, including public space matter between CC and CS, why people try to create local conflict among 2 lovable estates? why councilor Lam gave "blank cheque" in MTR discount machine during her election last year but never delivered the promise? didn't do study so dunno it is impossible to get in Tung Chung or knew but still promised for vote only? why so many problems about MO in all Tung Chung estates that affects owners' right? etc. MY goal is simple, help pleope, fight unfairness, improve community, and I believe I will get support from residents one day by doing so.  I feel we must speak up for issues influening us, so I stand up for such fights for the majority goodness of our residents. I hope I can gain support from people who have similar view. Thanks all.

Warm regards,
Jeff Lam
