Jeff, you know you should thank your people!!

They make it happen... without your support group, you are only one person and you wont have enough hours in a day to make all these great things happen.

Glad to see finally someone is realised the importance of using to word "We" instead of "I" in Jeff's statement.

Thanks  Smiley

may not be able to kik them out but if we reduce the security contract it will reduce their override and hopefully agrivate them to such an extent that the guys at the top of the mtr pile take note of what is going on at CC and try and sort the place out... here hoping anyway. Bottom line is I do not beleive that CC Man office will do a thing till it hits them in the pocket and they have to answer to the chaps at the top of the firm for a reduction in man fee revenue... Security is just off a half a dozen or more MO's idiosyncrasies that we have stomach by force not by choice. Welcome to "Reality", Zorro. (And, there's definitely no pun intended given the nature of your job as a property agent)

Gooner,

Haha. In the year to Dec 07 we paid HK$18m for security. We also pay a 10% override so that is just shy of HK$20m for security services... This is 20% of the cost of running CC.... a little more than MO idiosyncraies I fear... Wink

there are matters in MTRC's pre selection of contractors. When they confirmed the lists, maybe it is too late to make change cos their supplier list's price are general very similar. One fact is that all 4 Tung Chung estates' cleaning and security are under 2 same companies. Clubhouse are the same too except SVC now. If everything under fair practice, are they so constant? If these companies are much superior than others, why all non-MTRC managed estates are also using other companies? I deal with MO for a while and I start to know how they do things. I myself alone, or even become an OC, can't do too much. I need to work together with residents and social concern groups. Please PM me if anyone believe in fairness and wanna join for this long-term battle with MTRC / MO. Thanks.
