We need the shuttle buses to depart promptly

We need the shuttle buses to depart immediately after the last person in line gets on the bus.  The bus driver sometimes just sits there and waits for more passengers even though there are no more passengers waiting in line.  This is extremely annoying and defeats the purpose of having a shuttle bus to save transportation time.

First, you have to wait for the bus to come.  Then when the bus finally comes, you still have to wait on the bus for a few minutes before it takes off.  The wait time on the bus is sometimes as long as 5 minutes.

So lets say you spend 5 minutes waiting on the bus.  The bus take 5 more minutes to make the trip.  That's 10 minutes total already.  Add the time you spent waiting in line for the bus to arrive and you spent 10-15 minutes taking this bus.

In 5 minutes, you can walk 1/2 way to Citywalk.  Unless you need to go to the far end of Citywalk (where the bus drops you off), you can often get to anywhere in Citywalk faster by just walking.

I understand that the buses may need to take off based on a certain schedule.  But this schedule should be managed more smartly.  For example, in the morning, the buses should adhere to a strict schedule leaving from the Caribbean Coast stop.  This makes sense because people need to get to work on time and they need to plan ahead on which bus they're going to take.  In the evening, however, the buses should just take off as soon as it loads the passengers.  It should not just wait there, even if it's at the Caribbean Coast stop.  Why have a bus wait at the Carribbean Coast stop in the evening?  There are tons of people at the MTR stop who need to be picked up.  During the evenings, the buses should just makes as many round trips as possible as fast as they can.

Valid point but I think the buses are contracted for a prescribed no. of trips per day to a set timetable.

If people want them to do more trips, the contract price will go up to cover extra fuel, buses etc. I am sure the MO will be sympathetic as they get 10% profit overide on the contract.

I just leave 15 mins earlier and give myself plenty of time.

these buses and bus drivers are contractors?  that explains it.  that's why we are using these cheap, terrible buses and that's why the bus drivers and many of the building staff are from mainland china.  looks like things will never change as long as this is the arrangement.  the mo uses these contractors from mainland china (i.e., illegal workers) so that the cost is kept as low as possible and the mo can make more profits.
