Zorro and I gave the new bar/Restaurant Zentro Garden at the base of Seaview Crescent a go the other day.
Beer pretty good and staff friendly although food quite expensive and I think they could do with a better chef. Happy hour all day at weekends with a nice outdoor seating area.
Better atmosphere than Aviator but prices similiar and toilets smaller than an Airbus. Worth a go though especially on a nice evening.

Agree with most of what you said. Had a good chuckle at the Airbus toilet comment, so true. The food is pretty good from what I have found. Really liked the fish and chips and some of the pasta dishes. The Indian dishes were pretty average - surprising since the cook is Indian. The thing you have to watch out for is the service. It started out pretty good and has started slipping to Aviator standards lately. Sometimes will wait 10 minutes+ for a drink and you have to keep bugging them to bring you drinks. I almost went mental the other afternoon; there was 4 of us and nobody else with a full staff. Too many times they were busy cleaning, or chatting to bother with us and we'd sit there with empty glasses far too long.
For me it's a trade off - really good convenience for being close balanced with pretty average service.

I totally agree with you JTflies. On another post I mentioned how when I went there I don't think they could have been any slower service other than when the place was closed. We waited well over 15 mins for every drink after we ordered it and over 45mins for our food - which was a lot considering all we ordered not much more than an omlette and a plate of chips. Great setting though....

the outdoor seating is very good. Everything else is bad. If the service continues like that it will be another aviator - gone soon!
Not only that toilet is small it takes a while to figure out where to pee.

Yeah, the Mutt and I had a few quiet ones there the other day. Food 50 / 50, staff friendly, but slow if oyu are not sitting at the bar. However much better then Aviator...

That's the key - better than the Aviator. Although not much to measure up to at least we have a better alternative now. I'm gonna have a little talk with the manager over at Z and ask him wtf he is actually doing with his staff. As far as what I can see he just chums it up with the patrons. Another thing is I'm not afraid to make a bit of a stink getting my drinks - then the problem seems solved after that. I know most of the staff and they are friendly - just need a little boot in the pants from time to time.

Worth a savaging I think JTflies. They have another bar in IFC which has better food and also appears better run. I think TC is the wilderness and bridge too far for HK head office staff so the local staff have a playground regime.
When we were there they couldn't print off the bills because no one knew how to put the till roll in! God bless.

I'm surprised we have never had a problem and have been there many times now. We think the food is good and very reasonably priced

zentro is going to show WC on big screen. according to the manager there they will also have two tvs near the bar and will open till 2 or 3 depending on when the matches finish.

in typical Fawlty Towers fashion: the 10pm game will finish by midnight, the late games kick off at 2.30am. They'll probably stay open till 3 so they can finish the 1am last order. Also, with the big screen as distraction they're likely to double charge even more
